Over the past few years, uncrewed aircraft systems have advanced in capability and availability for our government sponsors and public safety missions. Please join MITRE and DRONERESPONDERS on September 20 at the MITRE headquarters in McLean for the 2024 Public Safety UAS Leadership Summit to learn more about the benefits of UAS as well as advances in detecting and countering UAS.
The summit will consist of one day of panels featuring experts and practitioners who are leading the way in technical and mission-driven initiatives from perspectives of our federal partners, public safety at the state and local levels, and industry members. The summit will provide opportunities to further conversations and collaboration with key players as we work to understand evolving UAS technology while prioritizing safety for our teams and the public. Following the panel discussions, there will be opportunity to tour MITRE labs in McLean specializing in robotics, autonomy, sensors integration and more. In addition to the September 20 summit, there is an opportunity to visit the MITRE National Range in Orange, VA (approximately 90 minutes from the MITRE site) on September 19.
