Today: NPPA (Virtual) Drone Journalism Leadership Summit

What: The National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY cordially invite you (or your designee) to participate in a half-day virtual convening of drone technology experts, newsroom leaders, educators and federal/state/local government agencies and first-responders to discuss the most pressing issues in drone use and how journalists, newsrooms and government authorities may better orient themselves around issues of safety, operations, ethics and more. Who: The FAA and DHS will present updates on the latest drone regulatory landscape such as Remote ID and flights over people. We’ll also hear from drone journalism leaders from Sinclair, USA Today and others as well as from law enforcement officials, first-responders, legal experts and insurance representatives. For those of you on the legal side of news organizations, please feel free to pass along to someone in editorial who you think may benefit from/contribute to the program and have them RSVP.
